From the Previous Post:
I expect that my batting average will last precisely two weeks. Possibly longer if Coach Joe and Coach Ed can be talked into not playing me at all for the rest of the season. Hmm…
Mission accomplished!
My perfect average is secure. I look forward to the call from the Community Softball Hall of Fame.

Leave it to Scott to find a way to sploit the ‘batting average’ mechanic.

You are such a clutz. First your rib, then your toe, then your hand, now your arm. Sheesh, you’re worse than me!

Wow…that’s rare drop I think. Most braces only have two straps. What are the stats on that thing??
Seriously, sucks to get injured. Hope you recover quickly (or hey..maybe this is your chance to retire with that perfect record??).

Cuppy, are you referencing his medical chart or something? I don’t even remember the last 2 or 3 things that happened to me, much less someone else

Hah! My drop was better than yours! The braces extend to the elbow and I start physical therapy for five weeks this week.
Thumb injuries are the worst. You have my sympathies. It’s a long road back to recovery.

Thanks
It’s actually a wrist or hand thing - They’ll know for sure in a week.
I may not be able to sign my name (left), but I can use a mouse (right), so I’ll still count it as a relative victory!

@Cyan
I usually remember more things about my friends than I do about myself. It’s called being “Minnesota Nice”

First year of high school i played baseball as the picture.. My first game near the end I wasn’t paying attention and the guy hit the ball straight back at me, broke my nose, my eye was swollen shut for a few days. And i didn’t play again after that…

At some point early on in the process of graduating from little league to middle school baseball (so very long ago), I discovered that throwing around the equivalent of a round bone-breaking device, or rather being in the direct path of said object, was not a very good idea for someone like me.
I learned that lesson by taking a baseball to the face on the pitcher’s mound, not hit by another young player, but the COACH! (DOH!) Sorry you also had to learn the hard way! =)
Cheers,
Nick
