It launched!

Josh has a good summary up of how the morning went.  A couple entitlement snags being worked out, a patcher having one wrong file for an hour caused a boat to disappear, and extremely heavy patch load for the first couple hours.

In terms of the game itself?  Amazingly uneventful.  Everything passed on the first try.

And then there were thousands of Sarnaks running around.

I got to play quite a bit tonight and enjoyed every second of it.

I’ll take that as a win.

Once we finally got everything patched, it was great; no problems once we were in game.

    Grats on a great launch!

Congratulations to all. I couldn’t imagine the amount of work that went into this expansion, mind-boggling. I hope Velious is next.

YEAH man! I played for a bit last night and had a great time as guild members were discovering new items.. Masquerading as my moppet… resetting racial traits.. taking the boat over to Kylong Plains and having to select an instance (can’t remember the last time I’ve had to do that for a normal zone), then quickly realizing that I really shouldn’t be there at level 33, almost being spotted by a big spider beastie which surely would’ve resulted in my death…running away like a scared little girl from said spiders… Yeah, I didn’t get to experience too much of the continent yet, but I rather enjoyed what I poked around with so far..

    Tonight… a new Sarnak is born! =)

..and I’ve got to see about getting the EQ2MAP guys to fix their maps so they’re resizable, or I could probably just do it myself. The new map functionality is really, really cool!

Kudos again to all! What a difference a year makes! =)

Scott - congrats on an excellent expansion launch! Patched up and once I got into the game, there were no issues at all. No lag that I could see, and I wasn’t hit with 100 Sarnaks at once amazingly (although there were several running around). All in all, a VERY smooth launch and that’s commendable.

By the way, I love the Character Development screen and the changes you guys made there. I can’t wait to get up to level 70 so that I can come back to the expansion zones and see the higher level content. So far playing the lowbie content has been a blast.
